Mary I of Scotland (8 December 1542 – 8 February 1587), also known as Mary Stuart or Mary, Queen of Scots, was Queen of Scotland from 1542 to 1567 and Queen consort of France from 1559 to 1560.

In 1587, she was executed after being found guilty of plotting to assassinate Queen Elizabeth I of England. Her grandson, Charles I, would go on to became King of England himself. In 2012, Mary was included in a mnemonic set in Abstergo Industries' Project Legacy.
