Marseille is a city in southern France.

As of 1511, a wealthy merchant in Marseille possessed a treasure rumored to have been of Isu origin. Ottoman Assassins sent from Constantinople traveled to the city and retrieved the artifact from the merchant's home.[1]
In that same year, King Louis XII, tired of Marseille's threats of secession and influenced by his Templar advisors, sent his army to banish all Assassins from the city.
