Marcello Auditore was the son of the Grand Master of the Assassin Order, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, and Sofia Sartor.
He was born after his father's travels in Constantinople in 1511, and had one sister, Flavia. He lived with his parents and sister in the Tuscan countryside, and at times accompanied his mother to visit his aunt Claudia.
Trivia
- "Marcello" means "like a hammer." It is derived from "marcus" or "hammer," with the -el suffix denoting it as an adjective in archaic Latin.
- In Topkapı Palace, Prince Suleiman I introduces Ezio to Ahmet as "Marcello" to hide his true identity.
- During the siege of Monteriggioni, while Ezio is riding his horse to reach the cannons, there is a citizen calling for his son named Marcello.
- If examined closely, he resembles the young man who spoke to Ezio just before his death.
