Marcello Auditore was the son of the Grand Master of the Assassin Order, Ezio Auditore da Firenze and Sofia Sorto. He was born after his father's travels in Constantinople in 1511, and had one sister, Flavia.

Trivia

  • The name originally means like a hammer. It is originally the adjectival form of marcus which means hammer; the -el suffix was in times of archaic Latin the adjectival form.
  • He shares the same name with Marcello Savonarola, a Carmelite monk and Girolamo Savonarola's cousin.
