Manuel Pinto da Fonseca (24 May 1681 – 23 January 1773) was a Portuguese nobleman, Prince and Grand Master of the Knights Hospitalier of Malta from 1741 to his death and secretly a member of the Templar Order.

In 1747, he tried to negotiate with Reginald Birch, Grand Master of the British Rite of the Templar Order, in order to receive aid from his forces in his fight against the Ottoman Empire and the French Empire, who were both influenced by the Assassins.[1]

Manuel was still serving as Grand Master during the Seven Years' War when he received military and financial aid from Colonial Templar Shay Cormac, who sent a fleet to Malta.[2]
