Manuel Pinto da Fonseca (24 May 1681 – 23 January 1773) was a Portuguese nobleman, Prince and Grand Master of the Knights Hospitalier of Malta from 1741 to his death and secretly a member of the Templar Order.
In 1747, he tried to negotiate with Reginald Birch, Grand Master of the British Rite of the Templar Order, in order to receive aid from his forces in his fight against the Ottoman Empire and the French Empire, both controlled by the Assassins.
Though no specific response was shown, Manuel was aided by the Colonial Templars with military and financial aid through Shay Cormac by using his fleet to Malta.
