Magnis Fortress was a Roman fort attached to the western portion of Hadrian's Wall, located in the northwest corner of Yorkshire, England. It was later used as a stronghold and staging area by the Picts for their incursions into Northumbria.
Behind the scenes
The fortress is a mixture of Roman and Pictish architecture.[1]
