Madrid is the largest and capital city of Spain.

In 1511, Grand Inquisitor Francisco Jiménez de Cisneros, the successor of Tomás de Torquemada, had also been persecuting Spanish Assassins for crimes unrelated to their activities. Ottoman Assassins sent from Constantinople by Ezio Auditore da Firenze sought out the culprits in the city and killed them.

The Ottoman Assassins also took over Madrid from Templar control, and restored and expanded the city, also installing several Assassin Dens.[1]

Centuries later, Abstergo Industries established premises in the city.[2]
