Together, they thought about ways to seemingly bring the two together naturally.[2] On 26 June 1867, in a letter penned to the Duke of Grafton, Victoria told him that all inquiries regarding her servant John Brown and her displeasure at him being disallowed from accompanying her to a review in Hyde Park were to be directed to Madeline instead.[3]
