Louis de Beaumont was the ruler of the Earldom of Lerin and of Viana. He was an ally of King Ferdinand II of Aragon.

In March 1507, Viana was besieged by the Navarrese army under leadership of Cesare Borgia, brother-in-law to King John III of Navarre. The following siege proved to be a defeat for Louis de Beaumont, despite the assassination of Cesare Borgia by the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze, and Viana was lost to the Kingdom of Navarre.
