Lough Glendallon

Lough Glendallon was a small lake, below Lough Glencar, in Connacht, Ireland. The waterfall flowed directly from Lough Glencar into the lake.

History

In 879, the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan met with her friend and ally, Ciara ingen Medba, at the lake. As they talked, Ciara disrobed herself and bathed in the lake's waters, as a form of a healing cleanse. Within the lake, Ciara acknowledged her past with the Children of Danu, but grew disenchanted when they turned to dark rituals, including murder. Ciara divulged to Eivor that she knows that her faith in Flann Sinna is troublesome, due to his new path. Nevertheless, Ciara offered Eivor a chance to spend time with her in the lake, which made Eivor ponder on her decision. Afterwards, Eivor left Ciara to herself.[1] Through her journey in Ireland, Eivor climbed to the top of the waterfall, where she found and synchronized a viewpoint.[2]
