The Lost Crypt was the ruins of a tomb situated on a small island in Lake Mareotis of Egypt during the 1st century BCE.

Around 48 BCE, Klaudios, an Alexandrian visitor to the Festival of Sekhmet in Yamu, reached the ruins while attempting to flee from Ebio, a villager who had attempted to to coerce money from him. Sometime afterwards, Klaudios was found atop a column of the partially submerged ruin by the Medjay Bayek of Siwa, whom Ebio had sent to locate him.[1] The Medjay escorted Klaudios back to Yamu, where Ebio's deception came to light. Bayek helped Klaudios to solve it.[1]

Around the same time, Bayek also investigated a bloodied ritual site at the Lost Crypt, leading him on a hunt through similar sites, until eventually he discovered the existence of the cult of Serqet and ended it.[2]

At some point, Bayek found a treasure on the island, hidden near a statue.[3]
