Los Alamos is a city in New Mexico state, United States. It was the home of the Manhattan Project, the project to create the atomic bomb.
After the failure of the Philadelphia Project in 1943, John von Neumann was forced to join the Manhattan Project and move to Los Alamos.[1] In 1957, von Neumann was at the Walter Reed Medical Center when he was visited by Boris Pash, escorted by Alekseï Gavrani. Pash retrieved the Apple of Eden in von Neumann's possession and told Gravani that his old friend had just died, "probably" from all the years of exposure to radiation in Los Alamos.[2]
