The Longbow was a type of bow used in two different ages. The first was a hunter bow common to Egypt during the 1st century BCE. Due to its accuracy at long range, Egyptians sometimes relied on the bow to send messages by firing arrows affixing with rolled-up papyri.
The second was during the 9th century in England. These bows were predator bows, often wielded in the past by soldiers of the Kingdom of Lindsey. Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir obtained one of these bows.
