Lineage Research and Acquisition was a department of Abstergo Industries closely related to, and likely a part of, the Animus project. As the name suggests, they were responsible for the discovery and acquisition of Assassins or their descendants for use in the Project.
During their time, they were confirmed to have taken part in the capture of at least two Subjects: Subject 4[1] and Subject 17.[2]
