Limnai

Limnai was an ancient village located within Limnai Marsh in Lakonia, Greece. In antiquity, it was one of the villages, along with Mesoa, Pitana and Kynosoura, which formed the city-state of Sparta. The village in particular was also known for its Temple of Artemis Orthia.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War the village and its temple were visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
