Li Heng (李亨; 711 – 762), temple name Suzong of Tang (唐肅宗), was the eighth Emperor of the Tang dynasty, suceeding his father Li Longji and reigning from 756 to his death in 762.
After the Tang general An Lushan rebelled against the dynasty and scored multiple victories against the Tang army, Emperor Xuanzong made the decision to abandon the capital of Chang'an and seek refuge in Shuzhong (present-day Sichuan), with Li Heng part of the entourage.[1]
