Laches was a Greek man who lived during the Peloponnesian War.
During said war, Laches and his wife Phaenna visited the poetry festival at the Port of Kreusis in Korinthia to catch a glimpse of the poet Praxilla. During the event, he and rest of the spectators watched as Praxilla recited her famous poem alongside the misthios Kassandra.[1]
