Kyrios the Master (died c. 420s BCE) was a Spartan mercenary who operated in Greece in 5th century BCE.
He was once the leader of a Spartan platoon. One day his whole squad was ambushed by unknown assailants, while he managed to escape. There have been rumors of a plan to eliminate those who knew some terrible secret he kept, but there was no record of it.
He crossed paths with the other Spartan misthios Kassandra during the Peloponnesian War, and was slain.[1]
