A kopis is a type of recurved one handed sword used in ancient Greece,[1] During the Peloponnesian War, the kopis was mostly used by the Spartan army[2]
Also during that time, Daphnae, the acting leader of the Daughters of Artemis, gifted Kassandra with a kopis said to have belonged to Pandora as a reward for hunting down the fabled Nemean Lion.[3]
