Killer whales are a species of whale found in oceans worldwide, from arctic to tropical regions. This species, also known as the orca, are apex warriors, with no natural enemies.

During the early 18th century, hammerheads were hunted by various individuals, such as the pirates Edward Kenway and Adéwalé. Even during the Seven Years' War it was still profitable to hunt these animals, still being hunted by several people, including the templar Shay Cormac.

After killing the whale, they could then either sell the spoils for profit or use them to craft other materials.

Trivia

  • A dart pouch could be crafted after a killer whale skin had been acquired.
  • One killer whale must be killed in order to obtain the achievement/trophy named "Killer Killer".
