Kanhoji Angre (August 1669 – 4 July 1729) was the chief of the Maratha Navy during the early 18th century. He fought against British, Dutch and Portuguese naval interests along the coasts of India. The British and Dutch frequently attempted to defeat him, although they were never successful.
In 2013, Kanhoji was included in Abstergo Entertainment's simulation of Alonzo Batilla's genetic memories, where he was available as a member of latter's crew.
