Justine le Clerc was a French actress who regularly performed at the Café Théâtre. From the café's upgrades from the French Assassin Arno Dorian, Justine and a fellow male actor performed public debates on pertinent topics during the French Revolution, such as the French Revolutionary Wars with the rest of Europe, Madame Olympe de Gouges' Declaration of the Rights of Woman, religion, and whether capital punishment using the guillotine had any merits.[1]
