Jumao was a pirate who served under Alonzo Batilla during the Golden Age of Piracy. Both were rescued from a Navy vessel by Olivier Levasseur, at which point they became pirates, him serving as quartermaster for Alonzo.
Born in Isla de la Juventud, he was forced into slavery at the age of 8, along with his mother and brothers.

Trivia
- Jumao's relationship with Alonzo was quite similar in nature to the one between Edward Kenway and Adéwalé. Both Jumao and Adéwalé filled out the role of level-headed quartermaster to an ambitious captain intent on finding riches.
