Joseph Reed, also known as the Aristocrat, was a notorious pirate during the mid-18th century.

Reed, along with his fellow pirate William Crest, made a fortune by raiding and attacking trade ships in the Atlantic Ocean. Reed captained a Man O' War called the Pilgrim. The Pilgrim and Crest's ship, the Cauldron, were eventually sunk by the Templar Shay Cormac's ship, the Morrigan.
