Jonathan Trumbull, Sr. (12 October 1710 – 17 August 1785) was the Governor of Connecticut both before and after the American Revolution. Trumbull was one of the only British-appointed governors to join the Patriot cause.
Trumbull's actions in the war raise the Assassins' suspicions, and Ratonhnhaké:ton sent a group of Assassins to investigate the governor. The group confirmed Trumbull was a member of the Templar Order, and Ratonhnhaké:ton sent the Assassins to eliminate Trumbull, a task that proved successful in 1785.
