Jesus of Nazareth (0 BC – 33 AD), also known as Jesus Christ, is the central figure of Christianity, which views him as the Messiah foretold in the Old Testament believing him to be the Son of God who was raised from the dead. His prominent work was the performing of grand miracles, mostly involving the body.
In the Assassin's Creed universe, it is implied that Jesus' miracles are granted from the powers of The Shroud, a Piece of Eden. The Templars were behind the crucifixion of Christ, in order to gain the Shroud. Somehow, the disciples stole the Shroud back and possibly used it to resurrect their Messiah. After this, traces of the Shroud has disappeared.
