Interrogation was a virtual representation of one of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus.
Description
Altaïr came across a herald praising Tamir. The Assassin saw this as an opportunity to gain more information about his target, and interrogated the herald.
Dialogue
Altaïr approached the stand from which herald was speaking, and listened.
- Herald: Come close! Hear the tale I have to tell! Of a merchant prince without fear. And so, Tamir left. Riding north and wondering what would become of his supplies. For soon, they would surely spoil. That should have been the end of this tale, and the poor man's life. But, fate intended otherwise. Some say, were it not for Tamir, Salāḥ ad-Dīn's men would have surely turned on him. Could be we won the battle, because of that man?
Once the herald was finished speaking, Altaïr followed him to a secured location, and beat him up, until he yielded.
- Altaïr: You've seem to know quite a bit about Tamir. Tell me what he's planning.
- Herald: I know only the stories I tell, nothing more!
- Altaïr: A pity. There's no reason to let you live, if you've nothing to offer in return.
- Herald: Wait, wait! There is one thing!
- Altaïr: Continue.
- Herald: He is preoccupied as of late. He oversees the production of many, many weapons.
- Altaïr: What of it? They're meant for Salāḥ ad-Dīn. This does not help me. Which means it does not help you.
- Herald: No, stop! Listen! Not Salāḥ ad-Dīn! They're for someone else. The crests these arms bear, they are different, unfamiliar. It seems Tamir supports another, but I know not who.
- Altaïr: Is that all?
- Herald: Yes, yes! I have told you everything I know.
- Altaïr: Then it's time for you to rest.
Altaïr then quickly stabbed the herald in the stomach, killing him, and left the area afterwards.
Outcome
Altaïr learned that Tamir was preoccupied with overseeing a large shipment of weapons for an unknown client.
