Innokenti "Kenya" Orelov was the son of Nikolai and Anna Orelov, the brother of Nadya Orelov, and was born some time after their migration from Russia to the United States in 1917.[1] He was also the grandfather of Daniel Cross.[2]
Kenya lived with his parents and sister until the Red Scare of 1919 separated them. His sister and mother were deported back to Russia, and so he was raised alone by his father in a cabin in the woods. There, Nikolai trained him from a young age.[3]
