By the time he reached the Palazzo Ducale, the Flying Machine was already on fire so he quickly decided to jump off it while it crashed and fell into Venetia's waters. Ezio then stealthfully made his way into the Duke's private room, where he was playing chess with Carlo Grimaldi. Unfortuntly, Ezio was too late and the Duke had already drank the poisoned wine.
