The Illyrian Helmet was a type of helmet originating from Illyria, the western region of the Balkans inhabitated by the Illyrians.
During the Peloponnesian War, the use of the helmet spread south to Greece, where it was commonly sold by blacksmiths. The misthios Kassandra acquired the helmet during her journeys throughout Greece.[1]

Trivia
- The helmet shares its model with the Helmet of the Oracle.
- As its name implies, it is based on the Illyrian type helmet. However, it is depicted with a small nose guard which was not present on real helmets of this type.
