Huginn and Muninn are the raven familiars of the god Odin in Norse mythology. They kept him informed of all the goings-on in the Nine Realms.[1]
Through an Animus modification by Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relieved the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan's memories, both Huginn and Muninn were made available as skins of Eivor's raven Sýnin.[1]
Behind the scenes
The names of the birds derive from Old Norse; Huginn means 'thought' and Muninn means 'memory' or 'mind'.[2]
