The cavern located east of Siwa. Surrounded by red sands, the cavern is a welcome place of shelter. However, visiting the cavern will reveal a pack of hyenas. The interior of the cavern is sand and rock, with stalagmites and stalactites, some of which can be climbed. The cavern contains two loot items, including random legendary item.

In the modern day, Layla comments that the site has largely unchanged since her visit as Bayek. There is more vegetation inside the cavern, and the interior is largely blocked from the sun, necessitating Layla to erect several lights hooked up to a generator.
==Trivia==
*Hotep Cavern is a "secret" location, easily missed by players aiming for the "Old Habits" achievement. Hotep Cavern is one of the few locations of interest in the desolate Qattara Depression, and does not appear on the map after synchronising. Discovery is based on clues written on a stone tablet in the modern-day cavern.
*Depending on the player's progress in the story, Layla will either have the stone translated, or be able to read it herself through the Bleeding Effect.
*The "relic of power" mentioned in the tablet is supposedly the random legendary item, not an [[Isu]] artifact, as is more common for "relics".
*If the player visits the site as Bayek, in the modern time Layla will mention that she "has been here before...as Bayek" when she goes outside.

The biggest change between the time periods is the construction of Bayek's tomb. Modest in size and detail, the tomb contains several small chambers, including Bayek's sarcophagus. Aya's sarcophagus is initially missing, but Layla witnesses Aya's image through the [[Bleeding Effect]], leading her to where the sarcophagus had fallen due to a partial collapse of the tomb. Layla is able to explore an underground current beneath the cavern.
