The Hoplon was a pair of bracers that were part of a set of armor worn by the Myrmidons, an ancient nation in Greek mythology.
The armguards were made available to the Spartan misthios Kassandra through an Animus modification by Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relived her memories in 2018.[1]

Behind the scenes
The name of the bracers is a misnomer, as an aspis, or hoplon was the plain wooden shield decorated with a capital lambda (Λ) that was used by hoplites.
