Holding The Fort was a virtual representation of one of Ezio Auditore's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus.
Description
Upon entering the Rocca di Ravaldino, Caterina Sforza was greeted by her children. However, she found out from a maid that two of them had gone missing in the chaos of battle, after which a guard warned her about another wave of Borgia guards approaching from the mountains. Following this, Ezio Auditore, along with Caterina and Niccolò Machiavelli, stood ready to protect the citadel from the invaders.
Dialogue
- Caterina: Bambini! But where are Bianca and Ottaviano!?
- Maid: Forgive me Signora. They were playing outside when the attack began... I don't know where they are...
Suddenly, one of Caterina's guards began to shout from the city walls.
- Guard: Reinforcements from the mountains! They are breaching the citadel!
- Caterina: Ezio, don't let those bastardi (bastards) get in here!
Machiavelli turned to Ezio.
- Machiavelli: With me!
A large battle ensued, during which the Assassins and Caterina managed to hold off the Borgia forces.
Outcome
Despite the news of the disappearance of Caterina's children, Ezio and the others succeeded in protecting the fort from the invaders.
