Sir Henry Frederick Ponsonby (1825 – 1895) was a British soldier and court official who served as Queen Victoria's Private Secretary.
In 1868, Henry received a letter from the Scotland Yard, where he was notified of a possible interruption at the investiture ceremony at the Buckingham Palace, with the abduction of a young boy named Arthur Conan Doyle possibly linked to the event. This letter was later read by Jacob and Evie Frye during their investigation of a murder in the palace.[1]
