Sir Henry Morgan (c. 1635 – 25 August 1688) was a Welsh privateer, pirate and admiral of the English Royal Navy. As a pirate, he became notorious around the West Indies. The Dutch buccaneer Laurens Prins served under him as an officer.  Not only becoming one of the most famous pirates who ever lived after his death, but also had his own famous brand of spiced rum named after him.
