The Helmschmied Armory was a family-run blacksmithing and armourers group during the late 15th century and early 16th century.

Among their most notable creations was a rare line of heavy armor known as the Helmschmied Drachen Armor in 1498. At least one of these sets of armor found its way into the possession of Ezio Auditore during his time in Rome in the early 1500s.[1] Ezio had previously purchased a less exquisite set of Helmschmied armor.[2] Another set of armor was worn by Girolamo da Lucca who also used a sword crafted with the same aesthetic.[3]
