The Helmet of Gorgophone was a helmet allegedly belonging to Gorgophone, a queen of Messenia and Sparta, and a daughter of Perseus in Greek mythology.
The helmet was later hidden in a vault beneath the Foundry of Hephaistos and was recovered by the misthios Kassandra during the Peloponnesian War.[1]
