In 48 BCE, the brothel was visited by Venator, a Gabiniani who was in the city in attempt to assassinate the pharaoh Cleopatra, making use of the brothel to make preperations with his followers. Helen, unaware of their true agenda, welcomed them to the brothel, providing them with discounts.[1]
