Alliance is a mode of gameplay in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood's multiplayer. It can only be unlocked at level 10, making it a difficult game to find players for unless a team has been organised before attempting to find a game.
Gameplay
This gametype works on the basis of three teams; 1, 2 and 3. Each team is made of two players, both of whom are the same multiplayer characters. The game is separated into two rounds, much like Manhunt, and in each round the different teams will hunt different targets whilst being hunted by the remaining team. The point of the game is to kill your opponents by using teamwork and skill.
Like every multiplayer game, the player may choose a different 'Profile' once they have died or chosen to respawn once stunned. According to how the player decides to use their profiles and abilities, the game may end decisively for or against them. It's a game of wits and instincts as the teams hunt and hide at the same time, mixing the strategies of Manhunt with the ever-popular Wanted.
Strategies
Hiding in Plain Sight: Your team uses stealth to draw your opponents closer, therefore attracting your targets at the same time. Using smokebombs and skills picked up in other games will be essential to making this work efficiently.
Bait: One team member blends somewhere such as a small crowd while the other attracts the attention of the other two teams. The baiter runs past their teammate, who uses smoke bombs and stuns the attackers while the baiter hunts any targets that revealed themselves in the confusion.
Stealth is not Overrated: team members should avoid runnig around in plain sight to get the attention of both teams. Starting a chase and revealing the team hunting your position will probably cause you to get killed before you get to kill your target. Constantly getting a low points kills will not help you win the game.
Most Used and effective Abilities :Disguise and Poison,Smoke Bomb and Poison,Charge and Smokebomb.
Advanced Alliance
This mode is the same as basic Alliance, apart from the fact that the compass to locate targets is reduced in effectiveness, such as not being told whether a target is above or below you and adds a greater emphasis on stealth gameplay. It will force you to be more accurate in who you are hunting whilst evading the hunter looking for you.
