Hans Peter Moravec (born 1948) is an Austrian researcher known for his work on robotics, artificial intelligence, and writings on the impact of technology.

Biography

In 1992, Moravec made a speech entitled "Pigs in Cyberspace" and later in 1998 made another speech, "Simulation, Consciousness, Existence". Both of these works, made one of the first theorized hypotheses regarding the concept of a potential simulated reality.[1] "Pigs in Cyberspace" also touched upon transhumanism.[2]

In April 2018, the Assassin Layla Hassan was told by WeR forum user, therealbettyboop, to read up on him.[3]
