Hammad Ar-Rawiya (died 8th century) was an Iranian scholar who lived in the 8th century. As he knew by heart several pieces of pre-Islamic Arabic poems, he collected and wrote them down in the Mu'allaqat.
During the 16th century, the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze bought a copy of this book from one of the several book shops in Constantinople.[1]
