Gwriad ap Merfyn (died 873) was the younger brother of Rhodri the Great, the King of Gwynedd during the late 9th century.

Circa 873, Gwriad was captured by the Viking army led by Ivarr the Boneless. Angered by this action and desperate for peace, King Rhodri proposed negotiations for peace at the church in Quatford, Sciropescire.[1]
