The Griffin's Scythe was a legendary spear in the hands of a mercenary active during the 5th century BCE in Greece.
During the Peloponnesian War, the mercenary known by their epithet "the Patricidal" ran afoul of the Spartan misthios Kassandra. Following their altercation, Kassandra claimed the scythe.[1]
