Gisla the Axe-Low (fl. 770s) was a Norse Viking part of the last Norwegian petty kingdoms before Harald Fairhair came to power. She was the wife of Reidar Rigsson, and mother of Rig Reidarasson and Helga Gislasdottir.
Gisla was one of seven daugthers. During a stormy sea voyage she gave birth to Rig Reidarasson, with her six sisters, her daughter and his grandmother present.[1]
