A colored etching of Franz Joseph Gall examining William Pitt and Gustav IV of Sweden

Franz Joseph Gall (1758 – 1828) was a German neuroanatomist and physiologist claimed as the founder of phrenology.

Biography

In 1806, Gall visited the prominent British Tory statesman William Pitt the Younger and King Gustav IV Adolf of Sweden as they were both plagued by Napoleon Bonaparte. He examined them both, using his controversial methods.[1]

Legacy

Although phrenology is now considered pseudoscience, Abstergo Industries claims to have discovered evidence to the contrary through their research in genetic memory.[1]
