Francesco I Sforza (23 July 1401 – 8 March 1466) was an Italian condottiero and the first duke of Milan belonging to the Sforza family. He was succeeded by his two sons, Galeazzo Maria and, later, Ludovico.

In 2012, he was included in a mnemonic set in Abstergo Industries' Project Legacy.[1]
