Fort Frederick was a fort in Albany, New York used by the British Army during the Seven Years' War.

History

In July 1754, Fort Frederick was used as a safe haven for the Templar James Wardrop while he was in possession of the Voynich manuscript. However, the fortress' defenses proved ineffective against the Assassin Shay Cormac, who managed to infiltrate the fort, kill Wardrop and retrieve the manuscript.

On 3 November 1757, the Assassin Kesegowaase and his Abenaki allies launched an assault on the fort and the rest of the town. Now an ally of the Templars, Shay, along with the Templar George Monro, managed to repel the attackers, with Shay killing Kesegowaase in the process.
