Esquieu was tasked by the Grand Master to hide the [[Sword of Eden]] and book from the [[Assassins|Assassin]] when they were invaded by King [[Philip IV of France|Philip le Bel]]'s soldiers. He was eventually killed by an Assassin during the invasion.
